Customer Need

The aim of this project was to design, build and commission a fully operational and complete water treatment system to provide potable Water and demineralised water from a bore water source. The supplied drinking water had to meet all current NZ DWS requirements.

The provided demineralised water had to meet the requirements of BS2486:1997 (Treatment of water for steam boilers and water heaters). To provide the requested water the plant had to be equipped with various filters, reverse osmosis package, chlorine dosing package and demineralisation package.

What We Did

The facility consisted of ultra-filtration membranes with all associated tanks, piping, instruments, and control systems. This water is then chlorinated before being transferred to storage. A system to provide treated but unchlorinated water was also included.

The Results

FILTEC manufactured all associated pipework at the Auckland workshop before shipping it to site. All construction and Electrical works were overseen by FILTEC Site management. Installation and commissioning were done on.
