What We Did
FILTEC was contracted to provide onsite drinking water for the Open Country Dairy Waharoa site. Open Dairy was consented to extract 142.5m3/hr, 16/24hrs per day from an onsite bore. The bore water was low in turbidity but high in iron and manganese concentration. To treat the bore water to meet New Zealand Drinking Water Standards, FILTEC designed a water treatment plant that consists of greensand filters, UV disinfection and chemical dosing. In addition, the design was required to meet customer’s performance expectations.

The Results
FILTEC not only designed and built a water treatment plant that meets the customer’s performance requirements, the project was completed on time and within budget.
