Activated Carbon has been used for many years in the water industry for removing chlorine, reducing taste and odour issues, colour and organic reduction.
Our Carbon Filters use a high-grade granulated carbon. The design flowrates are based on the removal of 1g/m3 of chlorine. For organic removal, flows are reduced, please consult FILTEC for confirmation.
Activated Carbon filtration does not remove microbes, sodium, nitrates, fluoride and hardness so a water test on your water supply is recommended to ensure the correct solution is installed.
The valves and tanks used in our range of Carbon Filters are commercial grade and our standard sizes are available up to 250 litres/minute, after which multiples of units are used.
